DANVILLE — This week, a sign reading “Threadwell” was installed, marking the Danville facility formerly known as Fabtex.

The signage change follows a merger between Fabtex and Quiltcraft Industries announced earlier this year, according to Eric Frantz, director of national accounts.

Fabtex announced it would merge with its number one competitor, Quiltcraft, in February, Frantz, who works in the Danville facility, said.

“We made the decision to rebrand both companies into a new entity, which we call Threadwell Inc.,” Frantz said. “Fabtex was founded in 1986 by Robert Snyder of Danville. Coincidentally, Quiltcraft was also founded in Dallas, Texas, in 1986. With 80 years of combined experience, Threadwell services the hospitality, health care, multi-family housing, contract and cruise line industry with bed coverings and window treatments.”

Earlier this year, Fabtex officials shared their hopes for the merger.
