CWIA's mission is to produce and provide timely, objective, and credible workforce and economic statistics and analysis to help customers make informed policy, business, and career decisions that strengthen Pennsylvania’s economic security.

Launched in July 2012, PA CareerLink® is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s initiative to transform the landscape of how job-seekers find family-sustaining jobs and how employers find the skilled candidates that they need. Through this initiative, a user-friendly, premiere job-matching system has been created to help bridge the gap that currently exists between job-seekers and employers in Columbia/Montour Counties.

Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry Workforce Development

The Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) administers benefits to unemployed individuals, oversees the administration of workers' compensation benefits to individuals with job-related injuries, and provides vocational rehabilitation to individuals with disabilities. The department prepares job seekers for the global workforce through employment and job training services for adult, youth, older workers, and dislocated workers. In addition, L&I enforces various laws and safety standards in the workplace and administers the commonwealth's programs for community service by young Pennsylvanians. L&I also promotes economic development and an improved business climate through a variety of initiatives and programs to help Pennsylvania's workforce remain world-class and globally competitive.
Registered Apprenticeship

The Apprenticeship and Training Office (ATO) within the PA Department of Labor & Industry is responsible for guiding and promoting the expansion and compliance of all Registered Apprenticeship (RA) and Pre-Apprenticeship (Pre-RA) programs across the state. As the State Apprenticeship Agency (SAA), the ATO oversees the development and registration of all Registered Apprenticeship and Pre-apprenticeship related programs, agreements, and policies and ensures compliance of all registered programs with regulations and standards. The ATO is working to embed a focus on apprenticeships within the state's workforce system and PA CareerLink® offices and continues to emphasize equal opportunity standards and equitable selection procedures as well as increasing quality assurance and compliance efforts.
WEDnetPA

WEDnetPA brings training funds to qualified companies through a network of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions, ensuring that businesses have access to a highly skilled labor force and that residents have the education and training they need. Together with the Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth is making sure working men and women remain competitive. WEDnetPA is working to improve the economy as well as the quality of life of Pennsylvania residents.
