Entrepreneurship has a home in the Danville area at the DRIVE BizHub. The office building currently supports more than a dozen tenants across various industries and growth stages. Rent includes all utilities (including trash and recycling), access to common areas, designated parking, and amenities like the kitchenette, gym, putting green, and picnic area.
“Having a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem is key to developing vibrant communities,” says Jennifer Wakeman, Executive Director of DRIVE. “The BizHub provides newer companies, those beyond the incubator stage, a place to grow and thrive. Today’s new businesses are tomorrow’s legacy companies. Entrepreneurs become job creators and provide key services to their communities. That’s why we foster entrepreneurial development in the region.”

MYNDDSET Delivers Learning and Training Experiences
MYNDDSET designs and creates learning experiences to support clients who want to train employees through unique educational programs. They call themselves the “non-boring learning agency,” assisting schools, private companies, and national associations in their training efforts.
“We make the learning experience highly engaging to ensure old behaviors can be changed,” says Mark Burke, founder of MYNDDSET. “That should be fun and rewarding, and it is.”
Burke calls the DRIVE BizHub the company’s third space, where “humans go to find our kind, to be surrounded and supported by like minds and those who challenge us.” Not only does the BizHub offer office space, but it also presents networking and collaboration opportunities as the different tenants mingle throughout the work week.
“The BizHub has been incredibly flexible in meeting my changing needs over the years with expansion, the opening of the Poditorium, and updates to make the building a great facility,” says Burke. “We’re continuing to grow with them, and that is awesome.”

Northeast Hearing Solutions Gives Patients Hearing Options
Northeast Hearing Solutions is the area's leading provider of hearing health care services. It offers comprehensive hearing and tinnitus evaluations and various treatment options based on budget and lifestyle.
“We have the same or better benefits that patients would receive at the hospital, but our wait times for appointments are two weeks, not six months like the hospital,” says Nevin Balliet, founder of Northeast Hearing Solutions. “We view better hearing as a quality-of-life improvement. We are giving back full use of one of your senses.”
Balliet adds that better hearing allows patients to participate in hobbies and social gatherings, understand soft-spoken words and be more involved with their families and friends. He cites a study from the Lancet Medical Journal that simply wearing hearing aids can lead to a 48% reduction in the chance of cognitive decline.
Patients with hearing medical needs can access care quickly through Northeast Hearing Solutions, but also locally. They don’t have to travel far to receive quality care.
“The BizHub has helped our business expand into the Danville area,” says Balliet. “I don’t think we would have opened a clinic in Danville if we had to pay all the traditional startup costs. DRIVE provides a clean and professional environment, and my patients are very happy there.”

Rose and Thorn Counseling Delivers Care for Mental Well-Being
The BizHub is designed to provide office space to companies filling gaps in their communities. When entrepreneurs see a need, they take steps to meet it, benefiting the community around them. There’s no better example of this than Rose and Thorn Counseling.
“Our business focuses on bringing healing and support to the community through mental health counseling,” says Sara Ansell, one of Rose and Thorn’s counselors. “We hope to expand in the near future to also bring more healing modalities and wellness tools.”
Ansell says her team has used the BizHub to support their advertising efforts and reach more people across Danville. As Rose and Thorn Counseling offers more services, the BizHub meeting areas will be more valuable than ever. They can have group events without worrying about space. This means more people across Danville can get mental health services and develop tools to foster healthy relationships and make good choices.

SkyPacket Networks Expands Wireless Connectivity for Residents and Businesses
SkyPacket Networks is an internet service provider supporting both residential and commercial customers across DRIVE’s five-county region. By opening an office in Danville, SkyPacket Networks can access hard-to-reach places, bringing reliable wireless internet to rural communities for the first time.
“Demand for reliable internet is felt at every residential and business location in even the most rural places,” says Bill Risse, Strategic Products Executive at SkyPacket Networks. “Our company is a lifeline for the local economy and quality of life.”
SkyPacket Networks also helps businesses set up redundant internet connections to protect against outages. This keeps companies running even when one internet option drops.
